hey guys i have a farmall 400D. i want to turn it up a few horse(10Hp) i was wondering how you can adjust the pump to do so, i believe my 400 has the type b pump. thanks again . . .jonathan s in northeast pa
 
Unless you have an unlimited supply of heads, then it would be better to leave it alone.

I have a 400 also and haven't messed with the pump yet.Was looking in the operator manual shows some of the break down of the pump.It looks like you need to adjust what they call the rack to get more fuel.This is behind a inspection plate on the pump.The rack is tied in with the governor on a adjusting rod and spring.I would say you tighten it to get more fuel.
