What can I do to my farmall C to make it a good puller. Someone told me there is a combine motor I can put in it to make it run better any info would be apperciated Thanks

A 153 motor came in a 203 combine if i remember right. They were also use in power units.
I have one in a Super C and it is a blast to pull!
In the photo add someone had 2 for sale a while back.

You would want to look for a engine out of a combine or swather as the cam is designed for superior lugging and they run at 2500 rpm rated. My friend and I just put a 153 in a A but haven't been able to pull it yet[finished at end of season]. You might get lucky and just put the cam in the tractor engine if that's what you can find.

If you are gona pull a C you really need the 153 engine. They arent to bad to install a little fabwork on radiator hoses, chop saw about inch off the fan blades and 3/4 inch off pilot shaft. You will need to get a bushing made for center of flywheel to install a bearing for the pilot shaft,as the 153 crank is not bored for the shaft. I have been running one set up like this for five years no problems. I also have a spare 153 that I might sell.

The Stock C and Super C Engines Have enough Options to Build a Good Puller Engine and Still Look like Every other C and Super C out there!

I Have 6 Wins in NATPA 3250 Div 3 with what Was at the time in My Super C Puller a Tisco Oversize Kit for a Super C!

Makes 133 cid and with the Right Parts will Pull with or Better than Most Stock or Slightly warmed over C-153!

Well I wouldnt want to trade my 153 for a 133, not saying its not possible for a 133 to pull with a 153 but that combine engine is one bad little sucker for a bolt in. I dont pull NATPA but in 2007 took 2nd place in 3500 farm stock 2 in tunica, it took first place in 2011 in farm stock 1 3500. Ill stay with my 153.

Allways wanted to Go to Tunica!

Is That Your Su C on You Tube?

My SuC was Just Posted there But with my New Engine in It!

They would Probley Put Me in the 4 MPH Mod Class at Tunica with Dubble Cut Tires!

My Su C Won the 3250 Div 3 Class At Wauseon,OH NATPA Pull In November 2011 Over the 2010 Tuinca 3500 4 Mph Mod Winner Gene Sellers Farmall 230.

My BN with a 133cid also Won 3000 and 3500 3.5 Mph Classes and Pulled up to 4250 4 mph Jackpot class Got 6th out of 19 Larger Tractors at the Mid Alanitac Super Pull, Harrisburg,Pa the weekend Before Thanksgiving!

The BN or my C Both with 133cid would be Fun to take Along with the Su C to Tunica sometime to See How they would Compare with Yours with a 153 !

Do they Have a Rpm Limit Or Just a Speed Limit?
