How can you tell if you have a 806 carb or just an M carb. and would a W9 carb. or 806 carb. be better And what does Marlatt do to make a carb. any better

An 806 carb throttle body or top half is totally different. There is no linkage that connects the governor to the carb. The main jet has an electrical solenoid on it. I'm taking this from the 806 carb I have that I have that is labeled that it came from an 806. Someone more knowledgeable could probably add to this or correct me if I'm wrong.

if there aren't any changes in the cubic inch of the motor no changes are needed . you will need to increase the gas flow if you have higher compression , say 200 psi. you will have to increase the flow if you are planning to stay at a higher rpm than 1600 . all the above are an example . you will have to make the adjustments to fit your engine needs . hope this helps.
