Does anyone have experience with farmall cubs or Hs. Do they use much fuel? What attatchements have you used? are there any still made?

i have a cub and an h. they are both good on fuel. the cub has 5 ft woods belly mower. the h has a trip bucket loader on that one. pull a 5 ft trailing rotary mower behind the h. h will pull a 2 bottom plow. both have calcium in the rear tires. use the h to push snow too. we used to use the h for planting and cultivating in the old days. also ran the elevator with the h. there are a lot of implements available used for these tractor that can be had at a reasonable price. you can also get a 3 point hitch for the h, and you can use all sorts of new stuff on it then.

Thanks-if you dont mind, what did you pay for them, I'm looking for something like them, would you buy an H or a cub? How bout an M?

the cub i picked up dirt cheap, paid 100 for it with the mower, was in pretty sad shape, a good runner witha mower with probably run anywhere from 1000 to 2500. h's can be found for anywhere from 800 to 2000, depending on condition. m is a lot heavier, real hard on fuel, but it has a lot more power. you'll need to fugure out what you will use them for, and decide from there.

The cub and the H are totally different units. The cub is useful as garden tractor. I have two cubs and a Super H. The cub is great to cultivate veggies. I have a plow, disk, blade, harrow and sickle bar mower. I have had the single bottom plow on it and it would do a good job in a small garden patch - but that's all.
The H is a farm tractor. Capable of pulling a two bottom plow, an 8 ft disk with drag harrow, etc.
So do not compare these two tractors unless you wish to do this restoration. Then the cub might be a good choice because of size.
