Farmall H horsepower

I have a very tired H and need to finally do a rebuild on it. I am looking for ways to gain a few horsepower at the same time. I don't want to get too nuts with it because I still need to work it. Also I know they had the chopper gears for the M did they have them for the H too ? If so can anyone tell me where to find a set ?

Talk with an auto engine machine shop about some simple head,valve and manifold work. Alot of HP can be found there.

I put in .010 over pistons and sleeves and now have 33 hp.

If you use a high compression (later gas head), 'fire crater' pistons, and a super H cam you will get a noticeable bump in power.

I did mine several years ago and it works fine.
