I have a chance to buy an h for 400. Motor stuck but everything else is in good shape. It is a 1939. Good deal or not

Depends, how is the rest of the tractor? Do you have a good motor? Are you getting it just to part it out? If the rear tires are very good, then they alone are worth it.

Tires hold air.scrapers on the front. Rears are in great shape.ran last year.lights there along with battery.

I always question whether it is a 1939. Serial number would be between 501 through 10652. So only a little more than 10,000 built the first year of production. There will be a slot on the back of the deck under the seat. Casting codes on the tractor will be month, day and the letter I for 1939. It ran last year and now it is stuck? I would question when it really last ran. But as mentioned below the main tires are worth the $400.

That's about scrap price. Try to get it running. If you do, great. If not, part it out and make money, or scrap it and break even at worst.

Those rear rims/tires look large. Perhaps they are for an M? Either way, it's worth 400. I have a parts H that I will get more for it in NON RUNNING condition. Remember scrap metal is quite valuable these days. Hence, all the loser druggies steal such things thinking you don't need it anymore and it's a "living" for them.

Looks like a 39 according to the seat. I would certainly buy that tractor.
