farmall head?

hello i waas wondering how much i can shave off my head on my farmall h?..i still got the stock head.thanks.i just want to bolt off and bolt back on.no messin around thanks

Someone posted a good response to this a while back.

Shaving the head along with high compression pistons makes a large difference, while shaving the head with standard pistons makes very little difference.

how hard is it to put new pistons in?...what one would i put in? thanks

What bore size do you currently have? Also when you put to big of bore with a big step on the pistion and shave a stock H head down you will also need to chamfer the ridge in the combustion chamber so the piston don't hit it. Hope this helps a bit.

If your not sure about installing pistons yourself find someone who has done it before to help. You can easily shave the head .100 and not hit water but without better pistons it won't help much. Check out the website above or call Ray at extreme tractor parts.
