Hey, thanks for your replies. I really appreciate them. Ithink that while I am on here I will ask some other questions also. Has anybody on here put power steering on an old M? If so is there somewhere (a website maybe?) that I can go to find out how it is done? Also, my valve cover gasket is leaking. Should I get another one and where? Or should I just make one out of hi-temp silicone? Thanks again!

Yes, lots of Ms have had power steering put on them. You can put a couple different set ups on it, but the one you will want is Char-Lynn. It requires a hydraulic motor installed in the steering shaft just under the hood. If you don't have live hydraulics it will also need the pump mounted at the front of engine and a priority flow valve and coupler. OEM has most of these parts. They sell on ebay often, but are high either way. OEM's number is 1-800-283-2122. You might also call Brad Marshall and he can likely get you a good used outfit and has all mounting info. at 1-888-824-0544.

I have been getting some good used stuff from Steel Wheel Ranch. He has almost anything used from Farmalls. Prices are not bad either. I'll bet he has some used Char Lynns
