IM RESTORING A FARMALL SMTA AND WISH TO CHANGE IT TO A WIDE FRONT END? HOW DO I IDENTIFY THE CORRECT FRONT WIDE END FOR THIS TRACTOR ? ARE TIE RODS IN FRONT OR BEHIND THE AXLE? HOW DO I TELL IF IT IS ORIGINAL FARMALL OR AFTERMARKET? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

The original wasn't made from angle iron and pipe.

Center section is cast and tie rods behind.

An original MTA will have a "Z" on the casting numbers
