Farmall Super H Hydraulic Pump

I looked at a tractor to buy this morning and saw something that I have not seen before. It does not have a hydraulic pump. There are three open holes about 1 1/2" in diameter in the casing where you would expect to see a pump. Should these be plugged? How expensive and difficult is it to add a pump? Should it be internal or external? Thanks...

No pump is OK, the holse can be left open (except for birds mice and insects) I would (if it has a SH engine) use a live hydraulic pump, and a belly pump both. Or use the space where the belly pump was for a custom sheetmetal resevoir. JimN

Can you give a brief explanation how to use both belly pump and also live pump. Frankly I have never even thought of it.

Imagine a SH stage 1 with only a belly pump. Then add a live pump (possibly from a stage 2 or 300/350)to the distributor drive (driven from the distributor drive gear. Using an external resivoir and spool valve array, a nice live hydraulic system can be produced. Thus having both. JimN
