might be good money spent to take it to a machine shop and have them press it off if you do not have a good setup.

if you bust the pulley you just add to your expense.

pulleys can be ruined pressing them on to the new pump.

I have had several of these replaced over the years on a TO-35 and a MF 35 and the pulley has to be pressed both off and on. The dealer did this for me.
