I had a friend that said he had a chance to buy a Greg Ferguson tractor. Has anyone ever heard of a Greg Ferguson tractor. I haven't.

I've never heard them being called Greg Ferguson. Everyone allways calls ours a Ford. Then we have to correct them, and say no This kind runs better then a Ford.

Greg Ferguson, or Sid, as he was more commonly known was a third cousin, twice removed from the family of Harry Ferguson. After Harry sued Sid over patent infringments regarding the Ferguson 12 point steering system, Sid went on to design and market the Emerson Tri-Motored, Tri-Directional tractor.

The man talked to him over the phone and I'd say he said gray but he swears it was greg. He's like myself, getting old and can't hear.

Emerson suffered from lack of adequate working capital, and was swallowed up by ESSEX within two or three years. What ESSEX REALLY wanted was Emerson's covalent transmogrifier patents. With those now under the control of ESSEX, their engineers were able to make "quantum leaps" in the development of the "ETD".
