Fiatallis 14c clutch issue

I have a Fiatallis 14c dozer that has developed a clutch problem after about an hour of running, when you you go to engage the clutch to turn the clutch either doesn't disengage or it takes a few goes, if the clutch does disengage as it should it wants to it doesn't hold of and starts to drive again.
If you let the machine sit for a couple of hours it will operate for an hour until it does it again.
I have changed the oil and filters hoping this would fix the problem. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Cheers Rod.T

Are you talking about the main clutch or a steering clutch?

I'm used to a FA 10 so may not be quite the same.

But if it is a steering clutch then check the oil level that its supply draws from - on the 10 this is the crown wheel compartment.

It seems to be a sort of fail-safe so you don't run the crown wheel out of oil.

Spring applied ,hydraulically released steering clutch's. If both sides are affected, then it seems the steering pump is worn.

Bad thing about trouble shooting those are the lack of a place to plug a gauge into. If it's only one side, I'm thinking the seals on the piston. Warm oil- less viscosity.

Thanks Ian
It is the steering clutch's that are being effected and both are playing up after about an hour to 2 hours depending on the heat of the day. If you let it sit for a bit to cool down it will operate for another hour or so.

Ian I have been told that the problem I have can be caused by a blocked vent line on the transmission / clutch case, so I will try to locate that today and check it.
