Do the right thing, and build it a shed.

Don't cost much for a shed, and well worth it.

I need to make one..I ordered one several months ago and was sent the wrong gasket..way too small to go over the threaded end...wasn't worth the hassle of sending it back........I don't know what it is for....

I made a gasket from old shoe leather for mine. And since I cant plow in the rain a good tin roof does do wonders for keepin' it out.

(quoted from post at 23:09:37 02/13/09) Dunk, Dunk, Dunk - the guy is looking for a gasket.

Bob, Bob, Bob, he is afraid that it will take on water there without one.

No chance of that if it isn't settin out in the rain.

Use what your mama gave you to thank with, not that other thang.

I cut my own gaskets for those non critical areas.. shoe box, cerial box.. etc. any non corrugated cardboard works fine.. heck.. even thick gasket paper, old rubber innertube or leather.. even sheet cork.. etc.

no rocked science here.. use the cap or old ring as a template trace and then take a razor to it.. this should be a 1-minute no brainer fix.

Is the cardboard acid-free? I'd hate for it to deteriorate over the next 60 years.

I made the gasket out of rubber shelfing liner. wal mart has it,YOU CAN MAKE A BUNCH OUT OF ONE ROLL. COAT THE GASKET WITH A FILM OF OIL BEFORE YOU TIGHTEN THE CAP. THANKS . 8-N PETE
