Thanks to all who gave advice and tips on restoring my TO30. Also thanks to this site for supplying parts for these fine machines. I finally got to drive it out of the shop yesterday. Runs like new and almost looks that good. Thanks guys

You did a great job. I like the bumper too, glad you kept it on there. I keep an old fashioned 1 1/2" ball on mine, with a ripped tennis ball to keep it clean and greasey. I can 'usually' back up a trailer pretty good. I have another TO30 with the block problems going to the machine shop soon, in general, it is the same condition yours was, we'll see what happens huh? Good luck with it. Tony

WOW. This is great.
This machine was truely saved by the bell!
You have done a great job.
Can we see some more pictures?
Klaus

Klaus, Here is the web page and all the pics of this Ferguson. Just go to the left side of the page and click on it. I have some albums of putting it back together as well as taking it apart and the mess I found. Also the little B Allis is my first try at bringing a tractor back from the dead. Thanks for the interest, Mike

Mike, your before picture reminds me of my TO 30 I bought except my fenders were in worse shape along with a broken crank and it had been painted a terrible reddish color. Glad to see another Fergy saved. Great job. Richard

Mike NC, tried to look for your pictures you said is on left side. Which place did you put them? Thanks Richard

Jerry, The hood hits the bumper if I let it go down that far. What I did was attach a piece of dog chain to the rod that hooks to the top of the radiator beside the cotter pin. I ran it over the radiator on the opposite side of the overflow pipe and hooked it in the center to where the grill bolts to the bonnet. It hangs down in front of the radiator out of the way. If cut to the right length the hood stops about 1/4 inch before hitting and has just enough weight on it to stay open without worring about it closing on you. LOL

Great job , Mike. Your before pic tells the whole story. You definatly saved a Fergy from the grave. Thanks alot from all of us Ferguson lovers.
