i was tld froma couple of u guys to use vingar to flush my block anmd radiator on my ford 4000 dos it matter how much vinegar i use? its a 14 quart system i figured 4 gal of vinegar with water. any suggestions would be helpful thx

depends on what you want to pay... can go 50-50 and run it longer. or straight.. and then circulate and let set then dump. i'd backflush the block too. check core plugs.. etc...

4 gallons would be 16 quarts, which is more than the 14 quarts that you quoted as the capacity for the whole system. If you can put 4 gallons of vinegar, plus some water, into a 14 quart system, then the world must be coming to an end, as you must be the second coming.

Seriously though, I would go for half water and half vinegar, whatever the capacity is.

i just purchased 4 gal of 5 percent vinegar for 1.99 a gal. i can put full strength in. when u talk about bac flush u mean hose on block drain and flush out radiator cap? what shoulde i do with the core plugs?
