Is there an difference between the lp head on an m and a 450.Does the 450 lp head look different on the outside vs an lp m head.

Trying to find out if I have found one.

There is a difference in the outside appearance of an LP head verses a gas or distillant head. Look between where the manifold bolts on and the valve cover on top of the head. You will see the difference.

There is a different in appearance between a 400-450 LP head and any gas or kerosene/distillate head. An LP head will have the part number 364586R cast into the top of the head under the valve cover.

The LP head looks totally different from a regular M head. It also adds a lot of horsepower to your tractor especially if you can get your carb built to push that air and fuel through it. They are very hard to find (the orginal ones) Lemons tractor service in indiana bought a that casting # and are selling them. They actually cast new ones. If you can afford the LP head and get it flowed and bigger valves you will be have hell of a head.
