I just purchased an "industrial 4000" or so the decals suggest, but the model number is 21201. I know enough that the first "2" means this is a model 2000 and the "1" is industrial. It is a gas, with 4spd and power steering. Someone did a spray can repaint at one time long ago, the hood and block are all blue, the rest grey.
Where can I find a "decoding" table for the pre-65 2000/4000 tractors? I would like to educate myself further. I did search previous posts for this topic and found some information, but not all that I'm looking for. A google search took me to "myfordtractors", but that site wants you to do a "download" to view the pertinent table. (I think I'll pass on the potential malware.) Other sites show the 1965 and later tractors.
I'm not new to Ford ownership, I have an 871 diesel that I've owned for 36 years. I also recently purchased an 861, but it needs sheet metal, wheels, and tires along with other items. It's just a "parts" tractor at this point.
Thanks all.
