Is the tractor in the pictures a Ford 2N???

Looks like a 2N to me. Not an 8N, but could be a 9N.

It is either a 9N or 2N. The only way to know for sure is by the serial number. The link below should give the info to determine what you have.

Yep, I left the possibility of a 9N because the radius rods
could have been changed.
Not as likely given the apparent timing. 1956-ish.

9N use the I-Beam radius rods, The 2N used the tube type. The 8N used a different type wheel mount so from what I can see it is a 2N

The tube type radius rods say it is a 2-N. Serial numbers are more exact if the engine is original

The tractor and trailer were my Grandpa's and are long gone. The plate on the trailer is 1956 which is about right given the age of my uncle in the picture. Did the 2Ns come with the muffler either vertical or under the axle? As a kid it was a bit intimidating with the muffler up in my face.
