Ford 3000 on Craiglist

I"ve seen this posted for a while and the price has come down twice. Is it just priced too high for the market or are potential buyers seeing something glaringly wrong?

Might drive over and check it out.

Too high. Looks like a case where someone spent toooo much time & money on it & is wishing to recover some of his money. Who knows what is under the fresh paint......might be buying just a paint job.

That would be top money for a diesel around here. He has a lot tied up in tires, though. Too bad he put late model 3000 decals on an early 3000. (and didn't paint the louver area white)

i do notice the 'auction' paint job where EVERYTHING is blue, hoses and wires is a tad bit of a turn off.

wire looms i forgive. but hoses and belts? that may be a tad turn off.

I think he MIGHT get 4500 $ out of it if he weights. but that is premium diesel money in my area as well.

It"s an early model and gasoline, both somewhat undesirable but the "glaring" issue is the transmission.

Unless I"m going blind, it is not a 4X2 but, rather a 4 speed. Four speed tractors of this model are geared very high and cannot have live PTO.

Very early high tin model.
Cobbled up air filter cover. Huge 14.9s on the rear. As others have said, no 6 or 8 sp.
Power steering is nice.
I would pass though. Too high.
