Hi

This may help. All the pulleys are keyed including the one on the fuel pump. There is a "centre pop" mark on all these pulleys and there is only one place that they all line up. I set mine up by lining up the mark on the idler to the mark on the crankshaft pulley so that the other 2 pop marks on the idler form a "Y" shape in the direction of the fuel pump and the camshaft. Then next set the camshaft to the idler and then the fuel pump. If the camshaft marks dont align then rotate just the idler pulley until you get to the position where the crankshaft and the camshaft marks align and the third one is still in the direction of the fuel pump. Mount the fuel pump where the timing mark on the pump and the mounting plate are at zero. rotate the drive pulley until the mark lines up with the idler pulley mark and then bolt in place. The tractor should start with everything in this position put turn it over by hand before you actually try starting it just to make sure nothing "hits". Once it starts you will need to adjust the fuel pump position until you get the tractor to run at its best.
The only torque setting i know is for the head and this should be torqued in three stages 80, 90 and finally 100 FT/lbs.
Hope you can understand this - i can do it a lot better than describe it.

On every Ford engine that I've ever worked on there are 6 bolts that hold the flywheel to the crankshaft and those 6 bolt holes are NOT evenly spaced. There is only one position where all 6 holes in the flywheel line up with the 6 holes in the crankshaft.
