Those numbers don't seem right for a 4 cyl 4000. 1301 could be an early serial number but then 60329 would be the model number but I'm not aware of any model number like that. Also 60329 is too high to be a 4 cyl serial number. Where were these numbers found? Can you post a picture?

The model is 41301 meaning 4000-series with 172 engine, produced 1963 or later, Light Industrial model with non-adjustable front axle, 4 speed transmission with PTO.

That's an awful high serial number, at minimum 1964. However rumor has it that some 4 cyl production continued after 1964.

I did some basic math taking total tractors produced in 1963 and adding that to the beginning serial number of 1964. 60329 is well within the expected serial number range for 1964.

Yes, production continued after 1964 for some pre-1965 models, mostly to fill fleet orders that were placed while they were still officially being made.

non-adjustable front axle. (stronger, and a slightly longer wheelbase) yellow hood and fenders, rather than light grey. Otherwise, pretty much the same as an ag model.

60329 is a October 1964 built tractor.
4 cylinder 2000/4000 tractors built in 1965 have serial numbers starting with 64440 and ending with serial numbers above 72000 as I don’t have the exact number the last 4 cylinder tractor used when it was built in September 1965.

This is the older version (pre 1962) that is red and buff.
Your 1964 model would have been blue and buff.
