Ford 4500 backhoe

Hi I recently broke the two left operating levers on my backhoe. They seem to be pot metal and I
think I need replacements. Any ideas out there???
thanks JEff

try a salvage yard
shouldn't be too difficult to have a shop make something

When I bought my Ford TLB, one of the operating levers was broken. Seller said he'd replace it until he found that CNH dealer wanted $150+ for it. He ended up welding something up. Works great, no issues. Suggest you just cobble something together rather than get the EXACT replacement. It's just a lever, after all.

All good suggestions. Maybe fabricating levers is the (easiest) way to go. I do like the joystick idea but am a bit lost on how to go about that.

Dad broke the L/side stabilizer lever on his 8 years ago. In about an hour, some 5/8" round bar stock,(for the handle) a chunk of 1" plate (for the pivot)and he was back out ditching in no time (his thoughts are "why buy it, when you can build it") Still works fine!

Go to 'Implement photos' and type in "Ford Hoe Lever Conversion". If you like what you see, send me your email address and I'll send more photos and instructions.
