Ford 5030 info.

Hi all. I know this topic has been covered a little, but I'd still like some opinions. I've been looking for a 60+ 4x4 tractor for some time now and one's just recently come up. It's a 5030 with a loader, folding ROPS and 4000 hrs. Looks very well taken care of, but I've only seen pictures thus far. Anyone have any opinions on these? I think the engine is the same 256 that's in my 5000s and 6600, and I love the idea of having another tractor with the same motor. From what I gather, the rear end is the same as a 4610. Any issues with the rear end being designed for a smaller engine? One other note: tractordata lists it as having a cat. 1 three point hitch, and I know the 4610's had a cat. 2. Is this right? It seems weird for a 60 HP tractor to have a cat. 1 hitch. Price is around $15,000. I know you can't really judge without seeing it, but does this sound reasonable? Before seeing this I was set on a 4x4 White 2-70 with a few more hours and no loader for less than half the price.

It should be a decent tractor. The engine is a slightly derated 256 engine from the 5610. I'd want to check the front axle over fairly carefully as well as making sure the 8x8 transmission shifts correctly. Those are the big headaches on a 30 series tractor. Don't worry about the rear end. You just won't break it.
