The missing shroud was most likely the main issue. Th fan will not pull much air without one. Good Luck with it.

The missing fan shroud was probably your overheating problem.
My manual says the same as yours. I run whatever good quality hydraulic fluid I have on hand. The 134D is the "one oil does all" that Ford specifies and is compatible with wet brakes in the trannies. Your TLB hydraulic system is self contained and will function properly with a plain hydraulic oil. I use Valvoline VV813 (wet brake friction modifiers) in my tractors including the Kubotas but for just a straight hydraulic oil the AW32 will work fine.
