Some of the Amazon carbs work fine. Depends on the brand/seller. We have had good luck with dozens of them. BUT.....if your tractor is running terrible and you ain't sure its the carb a new carb won't be a magic fix. What are your symptoms?is there a cheap replacement for my tsx 593 carb on my 55 ford 850 hard to justify a $400 carb on something I really use
99 out of 100 carbs that my wife works on for us really just need a good cleaning, occasionally she needs a gasket to go between the halves. You can buy that from McDonald carb in GA. We always buy small engine carbs from Amazon, but try to rebuild old tractor carbs. We buy new ones if we buy a tractor with a missing or busted carbRuns well wasn't getting good flow of gas had to go back & clean tank & replace petcock now carb leaks cleaned needle valve & inside carb still leaks just thought quicker fix would be cheaper carb. I know on smaller engines like mowers & weed eaters it's just as cheap to get new replacement carb. thought i could go that route. most of the cheap. carbs on amazon are for 132 engine.
