I am looking to make new oil lines going in and out of the oil filter, Thinking of using copper. Anyone know the size and are these a simple single flare which can be done with this tool?

Why and Why? What is wrong with old lines? They make OEM oil lines 1/4 Stainless Steel, to exact bends and lengths and seems like the logical choice to me. Copper,
plastic, nylon, aluminum, rubber, et al are NOT good choices for brake, oil, and fuel lines. There are three lines and can get them for a reasonable cost. Less
headaches when parts are already made to order. You had a plan to bend your ho-made lines right? You do know the early 9N's did not use an oil lube line to the cast
iron governor right? Oil line to gov wasn't added til 1943. Fittings were different. Bends were different. Best to get out your MPC's and see what you have going. My
advice and I'm sticking to it. Of course your tractor, your $$$, do whatever the he77 you want.

Does a brake line have the same ID as the existing oil line? Seems it might be smaller limiting oil flow thru the filter.

Brake lines are made in quite a few sizes including 1/4'', (the size you need) and metric sizes.

Most auto parts stores will have a selection of various lengths of 1/4'' lines to choose from, which will also have the same ''inverted flare'' fittings as your original lines do.

How do the governors receive oil saturation in the 9N and 2N pre addition of hookup to the oil pump? I was about to start digging into my governor as the arms are all floppy and not reaching full reach on either end on my 9N and noticed no oil line hookup.

Oil thrown by the timing gears at the front of the governor would be the only source of lube.
