Ford Loader with Trip Bucket

I took this loader off of a 56' 960 Narrow front tractor and would like to know what it may be worth since I will not be using it after the tractor is restored.I have all of the bolts , brakets for mounting. Any input would be helpful.

I would guess that it depends on where it is. The photos suggest that it has quite a bit of rust pitting and someone painted it white. On the other hand, it looks like it is not beat up and repaired.

I have one that is very similar, but it IS broken in several places and it has been worked hard for many years. It has hit too many immovable objects too many times.

Trip loaders are a lot better than no loader at all, but are not nearly as useful as a loader that has a hydraulically controlled bucket. A trip bucket loader is worth lots less.

If the loader wasn't too far away, I would be interested in it, since it looks like it would easily replace my damaged loader. I am guessing it would be worth a couple hundred dollars. But like everything else, it might be worth more to the right buyer. Where are you?

On just a W.A.G., looks like an early Schwartz built trip loader, from the arm lines. They were a major contractor for Ford tractor loaders for years. Not sure if this one drops into its years though. Many more knowledgeable than I probably would be able to say more than I can.

Yes area does change market price, and things are down all over to boot.

Thanks for the info. and if anyone is interested I would be willing to sell it for a very reasonable cost since I really do not plan on using it.
Would much rather see it being used by someone instead of sitting around.

Hi Greg, we're practically neighbors. I live in Pottstown. You should be able to sell that loader on Craigslist for around $200 to $400 pretty easily. What powered the hydraulics on the loader on your 960? If it had a front mount pump, selling it with the pump would boost the price by a hundred or 2. If it was driven off the tractor's internal hydraulics, then I would list it at $400 as a starting pint and be willing to negotiate down from there.

I had one exactly like it come on a 960. I sold it to a friend, I think for $100.00. He adapted it onto a 600.

We really are almost neighbors, Pottstown is about an hr ride from Lehighton. In answer to your question , it was powered from the tractors internal hydraulics and you hit the nail on the head for what I thought it was worth.
