ford serial number

trying to find model of tractor with following number on engine plate:
Ford Industrial
JE5-1141-AS1-5854-C1CC
We stripped Paint down has a red hood, rears & tansfer, and enginewith grey fenders
 
The engine appears to be a replacement. From the colors you describe it sounds like either a 701 series (row crop) or 601 series (utility).

If that"s what it is, the actual model number and serial number will be stamped (not cast) into a horizontal flat surface on the left side of the transmission case just aft of the starter.

The photo shows the numbers on my 850.
