Not too long ago I replaced the Fuel/Cap Gauge on the CC 782. I never put much gas in it because I seldom use it. So, when the gauge read EMPTY I wasn't concerned. The other day I filled the tank, reinstalled the cap and it still read EMPTY.
I concluded that the gauge float does not float. I even took the float off the unit, tied a thread on it and it sank when I dropped it in the tank. Printed on the underside of the cap is "KELCH.COM". I contacted KELCH.COM. I offered to send them the float to help determine the problem. They were not interested.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with the KELCH cap/gauges?
I'm not going to buy another Kelch unit.
