Fuel gauge-5205 JD

Replaced my fuel sending unit as it was leaking fuel and the gauge didn't work and the gauge still doesn't work. Good power to sending unit and gauge. The fuse is good also. Is there a relay involved?

Does fuel gauge move when sender wire is grounded with ign switch in on position?

Had the same problem with my 5105...same tractor.
Was leaking...2 times. 2nd time took it to Deere...they messed it up. The float was hitting the inside of the tank.
This is a very poor setup. Plastic junk.
New ones went back to a metal tank.
