Fuel Line(Where You Get It)

Maybe a dumb question but where would a guy get steel or any type fuel line for diesel and maybe fittings.? The tractor is a 203 MF with the CAV pump if that makes any difference. Mainly need new line from the tank to the lift pump,and then to the filter assemblies. Also is there a spin on filter/water seperater available to replace the old two filter rig-ups?

I would go directly to your local dealership and order the correct lines. You don't want to fool around with bending up your own lines when high pressure fuel lines are involved.

I guess I'll Try the dealer. I have never had to buy lines before and I always wondered if they even still made replacement lines for a 1961 MF 203. I hate going to this dealer here but I will. You almost have to show them a illistrative drawing of what you needing! Thanks

What you are describing isn't hi pressure. Same stuff as hydraulic brake lines. Check your local auto parts store. However be ready to make double flare connections.

If you need one of the lines from the pump to a injector then you need to use the OEM stuff from the dealer.

Thanks jt. I just need to replace 2 lines. They look fairly easy to make. Do you think they might carry the fittings to? Couple of the fittings are boogered up and I would like to replace them to. I know I'll need a flairing tool to.

Yeah they should have the fittings unless they are unusual.

Keep in mind if you are replacing the line between the final filter stage and the pump you need to keep things VVEEEERRRRYYYY CLEAN.

The flaring tool you need will need to do double flares on steel. The hardware store variety for singles on copper won't cut it BTDT. Steel line will crack if you try to single flare it.
