G 1000 Vista

I am looking at a Vista,it has 3pt with the quick hitch,pto,hyd,the paint is really nice, it has been sitting for 3 years the motor does turn over, the man is asking 6000.00 is that a good price.

I saw a pretty good one sell about 2 weeks ago for 4100.00 , saw one good cosmedic shape/ poor motor sell for 10500.00. I guess it depends on how bad you want one

In my opinion it is a little high, but everything is going up. When they sit without use, things get moisture in them, seals dry out, even when inside. What I have done when they have sat for a while is turn them over a little while by battery power to get the oil circulated before starting. If its a diesel, you can't take the spark plugs out to squirt oil in the cylinders though, thats the bad part.

Thats usually the way it goes, isnt it. I usually end up at the sales where things go for 3 times more than I would want to pay and dont make it to the ones where they "give" it away. Sometimes you cant win...

Yes, that's for sure. That tractor that sold for 4100, sold after a 706 that I went to see, it sold for 16,000.00 and needed tires and a motor job and still needed restoring . After seeing it bring that much I didn't even stay to see the Vista, I guess if I would have it would have brought more too.
