I'm helping a friend with his G it was running good until today when he started it up and it would not stay running with out the choke half pulled. I thought a good cleaning would help.
So he brought the carb to me, I took it apart
and used my #40 and #53 drills to clean all the little passages, but the carb looked real clean.
My ? is these drills are for my B's what size do I need for a G? Do you think dirt is the problem or a settng in the carb wrong?
Any help with is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Scott

Make sure the points and condensor in the magnito or distributor are in good working order. They can make you think that you have a carburator problem.

Are you assuming that the carburetor is clogged?
What about fuel flow from the tank-through the sediment bowl-through the line-through the filter and into the carb?? I would check this out for sure.

I had a model 60 give the owner fits like that ,turned out to be a bad condenser. It sure acted like a bad carb.

On those G carbs. there is an extra hole in the stem to let more fuel in besides the one the load needle screws into. Look closely at the bottom accros from where a brass plug is.
