G moline hydraulics

I am wanting to rebuild my G moline resevoir.Need internal piston O rings and gasket for lid.Is their a kit available for this.I want the O rings for the steel line also.

I don't know what is available now, but when I went through several of these in the '90s, there are no 0-rings on the internal valves. There are some copper washers on the cancel pistons however. The cancel pistons push the valves back to neutral when the cylinder reaches the end of its travel and the pressure goes up.

The valves are precision fit in their bores and don't mix them up.

The cover gasket I was sent was old stock and was nearly 3/8" too short to line up with the bolt holes when I tried to use it. After that I just make my own out of gasket material.

You can get some of those square profile 0-rings for the manifold pipes from Agco. At least I think they are still available.

The last ones I got fit the inner bore snugly but lacked nearly 1/16" reaching the outer dia. of the bore. They quickly blew out. (The o-rings have to fit the o.d. of the bore, not the i.d. It was all the stretching in and out that made them blow so quickly.) So I took the manifold to my local NAPA and got some regular round profile 0-rings out of their assortment that fit the bores pretty well, put them in and they've been working for years.

Maybe by now AGCO has their 0-ring problem worked out. But I doubt it. Its hard to tell an Engineer he's wrong.

I used round O-rings on my reservoir also, and that was in 1986, on a ZA. Have worked good since. If I may add make sure the O-rings dont stand out too far or high in the bores.

I redid Z or R boxes and never found the orig square o-rings that were thin enough. I bought some from McMaster but had to get 100 in a pack. They set in grooves pretty good, but were too thick and didn't seem to pull down on manifold then. One I ended up just re-using the best of several old ones and it worked. The other, I found round O-rings and it doesn't give me any trouble. I made my own cover gasket too, pretty easy if you have punches for neater bolt holes. There is a pair of o-rings on the control lever end in mine now. Never found the wide rubber for that shaft, just put in two o-rings. Other than cleaning the screen, I never opened up the inner parts, they looked workable and are now after assembly. If you ever do the Jacks (cyl), there are special figure eight looking seals used in those, and you can still get them. Cost alot, but still available. They are an ODD deal indeed.
