I have a 45 JD GM and was wondering if any kind of gear reduction starter will bolt up and spin the right way. 12.1 compression makes it hard to start. thanks

im told a 12v 4020 starter will fit you may or may not have to change the nose cone from your original starter

I had an ISKRA 4020 or 466 starter on mine it was smaller and you did not have to mod the crank cover Diesel inj service in Wisc. Some of the big delco's or Nipps may need to swail out the cover
