g1355 hydraulics

Needs some help, 1355 lost pressure last fall ,went down to 1000 psi.We sent pump off and had rebuilt while it was off ,we flushed as much as we could went through the pressure valve and rebuilt the steering cylinders. All back together and have no pressure? We bled the pump and valves, looped hoses on outlets and have 0
What am I missing?
Thanks

First of all did you check the unloader valve? The purpose of the unloader is to dump the oil back to the reservoir and unload the pressure so the starter will turn the engine over. Does the pump make any kind of noise. Remember it is a closed center system and it builds pressure by blocking the external flow. Did you unhook the pump outlet and see if you have flow. Did you send the compensator in when you sent the pump in?

We took the unloader apart and washed it out looked fine, with the out let from the pump open it has a lot of flow just off the starter.
I don t know what or where the compensator is?
I am not real clear on how this system works!
The line from the unloader to the external valves has almost no flow with the engine running!

When you are using no hydraulic functions, there should be no flow out of the unloader. This is a closed center system, when the system is not being used you should have pressure, but no flow. You must not have a book? Do you have a phone number where I can call you? Oh, the compensator controls the pump.

I have it running all I needed to do was screw the compensator in! It was not adjusted when the pump came back from shop. Now has great pressure.
Thanks for the help!
