Garden Time

I have onions and lettuce planted, 4 trays of tomato seedlings coming along nicely under lights, seeded 2 trays of various peppers today. It will be another 2-3 weeks before I plant anything else, and 3-4 weeks before our soil is warm enough for corn. I hope to plant some taters on Good Friday in keeping with tradition.

Planted potatoes and sugar peas on March 12th, first 3 rows of sweet corn on March 17th a little late on the spring potatoes in North East Louisiana but it didn"t quit raining till the first week of March.

I planted the 20th of March at the house garden. 3 rows of okra, 1 row crookneck squash, 1 row bell peppers, a few Ichiban eggplants, and some straight 8 cukes.

At Dad's place I am planting Zippercream and Cream 40 Peas on Friday. The first planting will be about 2/3 acre. Then every three weeks or so about the same amount until August.
