I pulled the gas tank off a 140, carried it to a radiator shop to be cleaned out. My intention was to coat the inside of the tank with "Fuel Tank Liner" to prevent further rusting. The guy at the shop said it can come off and get in the fuel system. Has anyone had any problems with this product?
Thanks.
And thanks for the previous help with the engine number.

I've had great luck with Red-Kote although it's not recommended for tanks with baffles.

But, I've used it in my Farmall-A and it's been tight for a year. Thin it 50/50 with MEK and do two coats, 24hrs apart.

Proper preparation before using the sealer is essential. I used a tank sealer kit from Eastwood automotive years ago on my C. I followed their instructions to the letter. That was more than 5 years ago and no problems so far. The tank had developed leaks at some of the spotwelds on the mounting brackets.
