I have a gb propane that I can't get to rev up any more than 1300 rpm. The govoner seems to be in good condition. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

If external_link is correct, the GB LP is rated at 1100 RPM. I did not think it was that low, but I know the G and GB tractors engines ran fairly slow.

should run 1430 high idle, take the screw out of the side of governor, and see what happens, if it wont open up to at least 1500 your governor or linkage has a problem, the I & T shop manual give a good idea of how it all works, to set the rpm.

The most I have gotten out of the stock governor is 1425. Any more than that and you will need the later style governor. Might contact Matt Gall at Motec engineering in Tipton Indiana. (765) 963-6628 He is pretty good with these.
