I thought it was only in winter time when it got to -40 that’s what would freeze the balls of a brass monkey . It’s Ihc, no brass in these transmissions.

BRONZE, and there are at least three bronze bushings in a Super A transmission. Of course it depends on who you ask, the day of the week, the phase of the moon, and who is President of a small island nation in the Carribean, whether GL5 attacks "yellow metal" or not...

Good Morning All, new member here... Just bought a 86' Allis Chalmers 5015, ordered all the manuals, but am looking to see if anyone would be able to tell me what gear oil I need for it? I am trying to order AMSOIL (what I use in almost all my equipment) and wanted to order to have it for this coming weekend to get all the PM work done. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I remember seeing what appeared to be a bronze bushing in the rear-end when I had to R&R the pto on the 100. Luckily there hasn't been a need to go too deep into the rest of a tranny here yet.

Well would ask them have them bring in for you .
I also I got a sweet deal on valvoline sae 90 at napa 5 gallon bucket for 78 dollars being an online member . Went to store to pick it up they said they had it.
Caution ,watch out , I asked the counter person , I want a bucket 5 gallon sae 90 ,he came out with 80/90 bucket ,told him ,that not what I want, sae 90 . He went back and could not find ,they ordered it ,had it next day.

80-90 is fine as long as it’s GL1 thru 4.
