ther than the diesel starter I am not aware of one . I just upped the voltage to 24 or 28 volts on the regular starter and changed the coils to 2.4 kw ccw windings with a lug connection instead of the pull switch with a solenoid from a waren winch.

I have a 5 3/4 X 4 1/2 WC I am starting it with the original starter on 12V. And the batt is way in front. I am using welder cables with 1/2 in copper tubing soldered on. and a old fashion webb ground cable.

I had my gas starter rebuilt with a 12 volt field coil. The rebuilder said it would last longer than using a 6 volt coil. I do have a M&W gear reduction starter for a wc. It would need to be gone threw though It was easier to rebuild the wd gas one than to have him custon cut the wd one to use it on a wd instead of a wc.

MT39 or MT44 Delco starters.
Measure the voltage between the starter case and the brass post while cranking. Odds are you will find less than 9V.
Try a Group 31 battery, 2/00 cables with swagged on conenctors. Bolt the battery chassis connection direct to a starter mounting bolt. Not onto the tractor chassis somehwere.
Is the battery really fully charged or down some from numerous start-stops loading, unloading, parking, waiting etc?

I forgot to say. Mine won't crank either if the throttle is wide open. I always start it at idle, or a red ch faster.
