Geting ready for winter

Hi all, still lurking, don't post much anymore. Still get a lot of good tips and info from this site. Thanks...
Here in Michigan our time is running out for good weather, we soon will get our normal winter pounding of the white stuff. This year I added a front 5ft blade to help save the neck:) don't know how well it will work yet, but seemed to push some dirt around well in testing welds.

Keep those questions and answers coming.

Brent I like the looks of that front blade.Looks like it will handle snow well.I don't know about this Alabama red clay, espically with the 15" of excess rain we have had up to this date. You keep all that snow up there I'll settle for sticky clay. R.M. IN AL

LOL..Not a dozer for sure.I hear ya on the rain, last year we got 11" from the Sept. Hurricane , just got my basement put together after that one, what a mess, I would take the snow anyday:)

Well here we are just not geared for snow.No snowplows everything gets packed we start hitting one another etc.The biggest problem is the power. If we have any heavy stuff these long slender no root system pines start falling on the power lines. That even creates problems for the rural cities or gas stations, then the word comes that some areas will take 5 or 10 days to get back on uggg, and believe it or not I live next to the last house on the line and my son lives in the last house,,,Keep that snow... Must be from downstate where you don't get much snow  ? Up here the plow has to be a little taller to clear the white stuff. Looks like it'll do the job though.
