getting enough air

i was wondering is there a way to get rid of the oil in an oil bath breather and put some kind of air filter in there. thanks

It isn't the oil in the cup that creates the filtering IIUC. It is the oil vapor that gets carried up into the screens and then pulls the chunks out and drops them into the oil.
I have drained mine at the pull and then refilled it before the trailer, but then I realized that was stupid.
Are you running out of power? If not, then leave it alone!
If you want get rid of it totally I think Denny's Crap Shop as well as some others sell a pipe that runs out the stock hole and has a K&N filter clamped on the end of it.

it not running out of power, yet. but i took the breather hose off the carb and it seem to clear its throat better, and perked up. thanks for reply. i got a muffler on it some say that it create more torque with it. some say straight pipe. what say ya'll. thanks

can i get someone to 2nd the rubbing alcohol in the oil bath filter. i have a GM and would love to try it to see what would happen. thanks
