Gleaner grain head

Does anyone know where I could find a good 10 foot grain header for a K Gleaner near west-central MO? (The QA style) Seems most of them around here went to the smash yard.

You're probably going to have a very tough time finding just the head. You'll most likely have an easier time finding one attached to a combine. Search the St. Louis Craigslist for "allis". You'll find a $1000 nice shedded Gleaner K with a 10 foot grain head and 2 RW cornhead just west of St. Louis.

I have a 10 foot head on my 1968 Gleaner EIII. Works good for the size combine and to get thru gates & across creek crossing on my farm. Mike

I have an E with a 10 foot head (old style) I use with a pickup attachment to harvest fescue, and a K with the new style 10 foot head I use for beans/wheat. I'm hoping to find another head for the K to mount another pickup attachment on so I don't have to gut the head on the K every fescue season to pick up windrows and then put it all back for wheat...

Have you checked with any of the Worthington yards? They may have a head there with cutterbar parts or reel missing that you could use. Too bad I'm in New Jersey. I have a 10' head off a K2 that the floating cutterbar is shot and the variable speed for the reel is missing, but would work for what you want to do.

(quoted from post at 09:23:58 03/26/10) I have a 10 ft head off of a Gleaner E

DO you still have it ? I just bought an E3 and would like a 10 footer and something to do beans with as well. I am located near Bowling Green KY. I have a 25 foot gooseneck so I can come and pickup within reasonable distance.
