Go-Jo original formula

Anybody know where to buy the original Go-Jo hand cleaner? I wonder if it has been discontinued, I haven't been able to find it in local stores, and you can find several places listed online but they either say "out of stock" or won't let you follow through with your order.

This is the best hand cleaner I've ever used, hands down. They have all this new fancy stuff with pumice and whatnot but none of it I've used works as well as the original smooth, white Go-Jo.

I've got a can on the workbench right now. They were still making it a year ago when I bought mine at local..C&S Supply in Mankato Mn.

I will never use GoJo again. Look for Cherry Bomb made by Zep.
I find it at Walmart Auto Dept.

Ok, I haven’t tried that. I may give it a try, but if it has pumice in it I don’t think I’ll like it. I know the theory behind pumice, to give it some grit to help loosen dirt, but it just makes it too “dry” for me. Go-Jo (original) just wipes the grease and dirt away with no need for grit.

I’ve got a can too that I bought about a year ago at my local TSC. They don’t have in now though. Also checked the local Ace and Napa, both of which used to carry it but don’t now. I’m going to ask my local Napa if they can order it, says “out of stock” when you try to order it on Napa online.

I agreed about the pumice not being good. It’s hard to find hand cleaners without it but they are available. I don’t care what brand as long as it says smooth (that means no pumice) on the label. I use Fast Orange 23218 Smooth Lotion Hand Cleaner I found on amazon. Cleans better than pumice. Have you ever used olive oil? Works better than you might think

New engine oil works well but gets pricey at the price of engine oil. I use a glycerine soap my wife gets and it works pretty good. Not a good as the Go-Jo did but pretty good. I also have a small brush there that I use for real bad ground in stuff. My hands are like oil and dirt magnets. Once it is on it doesn't wipe off. Old stottard solvent works good but is hard on the hide.

Well here’s the word straight from the horse’s mouth, discontinued.

Why would they discontinue the only product they had that actually worked to clean your hands? That brand is dead to me now.
Either you and flying belgian were the only two using it anymore, or it's got something nasty in it that's not good for you.

Ask again in 10 years when you've sprouted a 6th finger on each hand.

I just took my GoJo dispenser down, been there for decades and a lot of those big containers went through it. The last containers I bought didn't have the plastic follower in them and they wouldn't feed right and now they are no longer available. I stayed away from the pumice stuff and used Lava soap for a final scrub after GoJo. What I have found to work well now is hand cleaner I buy from Summit Racing. It has walnut shells instead of pumice and doesn't have any smell like the cherry or orange ones, I don't like smelling like a greasy orange. Works out for me as I add it to orders to increase the $ amount to get free shipping.

I use dawn dish soap put in a hand pump soap dispenser. May try some of the dawn platinum powerwash with the trigger handle.

Whut he said I have converted a many shop to Zeb once they use it they will never go back to anything else even the old timers. I use gojo for many years its nasty stiff the only thing I saw good out of it is you will quit biting your fingernails. I'v been using Zeb for frothy years I don't care what it cost I will not use any thing else. I use to be able to buy it direct $8 for a large bottle. Like anything else they stopped selling direct. It was the same for latex/nitrile gloves I use to by them by the case 10 to 12 to a case $4 for a box of 100 when the tools trucks started caring them the price went to $11 and now close to $30.

Since the early 90's I ware Nitrile gloves religiously year round like Zeb hand clearer I don't care what they cost I am addicted.

Zep products are generally good. I haven't tried "cherry bomb", but their purple degreaser, anti-rust and glass cleaner all get regular use here. Fast Orange is what I have in the shop, both the tub or gook as well as the pre-coated wipes. They may not be the best, but they do what's necessary.
