One of the best, if not the best test of a good tractor is how well it performs over time. For example, those newfangled Mahindra or montana tractors could be the best thing ever built, but no one knows that yet because they have not been around long enough.
John Deere came out with their revolutionary 10 series in the early 60's, replaced it with 20, 30 etc. Since the 10 series came out, what is the popular opinion as to the top 3 machines that JD built? I have been led to believe they are:
1. 4020 2. 4440 3. 3020
I am not necessarily looking for your own personal opinion, like "I bought a 2510 in 1965 and have not had a ounce of trouble with it since, so it is the best model ever", but more of what universally are the best models.
Also, keeping in mind some of the "later" models (ie after the early 90's) have not been around long enough yet to pass the test of time -even thou they may be heluva machines.
