Good morning, haven't posted in some time wondering how your boy in the Air Force is doing and where he is.

Butch.......the Air Force offered him $50,000 for early out at 6-yrs. Discharged as a Captain. He is living in California with his mother and looking for a job. .........Dell

USAF made the same $$ offer to my son-in-law to re-enlist for another term. He is in charge of the motor pool in Colorado base. He is 30 yrs. in the USAF, so far. 1st Sarg.

So, another new Chevy pick-up and travel trailer for week-end camping with the family.

When I got out in "91, they were forcing people out (Clinton). Two of my supervisors (Staff Sgt. and a Tech. Sgt.) and they both got $1,000 for each year of service. That equaled 14 years and 16 years for them. NO RETIREMENT and no choice.
