Governor thrust spring

On my Farmall 130, the governor thrust spring (not governor spring) is being stuck in by the thrust pin. I tried tapping it in and that did not break it loose. Now, the pin is flush with the shaft. I have sprayed it and it still is stuck. Any suggestions to remove pin and spring? I probably first should have tried to pull it out.

Try heating a little but not enough to ruin the spring. Or put a welding rod to it & have someone turn the welder on & off hoping it sticks the rod.
