I gave my grandson his first ride on my A when he was 14 months old. He's 18 now and over the years I've spent only about three or four weeks a year with him. Only got him to one tractor show in all that time.

The five year old understands the concept of the hand clutch and throttle. He just can't reach the brakes yet, so he drives sitting on my lap.

Got my start on a JD620. Anything other than a 2cyl doesn't sound like a tractor.

My first memories are playing on the floor boards of a 4430 while grandpa plowed corn, but I first drove the 4020 myself, struggling to press the clutch. Both those tractors are still around as well as some modern ones but I got bit by the two cylinder bug!
